Examining Melanin Theory

The principal idea of the pseudoscientific Melanin Theory is that the levels of melanin found in dark pigment naturally enhance intelligence, and emotional, psychic and spiritual sensitivity.

Melanin Theory is viewed as racist because it promotes the notion of inherent genetic Black Supremacy.

Melanin is a natural complex polymer and organic semiconductor responsible for skin and hair color.

-Few people know that melanin is found in almost every organ of the body and is necessary for the brain and nerves to operate, the eyes to see, and the cells to reproduce.

-Melanin offers superior protection against the effects of UltraViolet Radiation from the Sun.

-Melanin causes younger looking skin

-Melanin is considered the Organizing Molecule responsible for regulating a wide variety of molecular interactions and metabolic processes.

White people = Albino Mutants- a key component of Melanin Theory is that White people mutated from albino African; therefore, all White people today are inherently African.

Melanin Theorists who’ve combatted White Supremacy

(African American Pioneers of Melanin Theory)

Wade Nobles- A professor emeritus at San Francisco State University where he taught in Africana Studies. He is also the author of Seeking the Sakhu: Foundational Writings of an African Psychology and SBA: The Reawakening of the African Mind. His research primarily focuses on African Psychology, Black Self-concept, African-centered Education.

Leonard Jeffries- An African American professor of Black Studies at City College in New York. He also was a political scientist, historian, and Pan-Africanist. He divides humanity into two types of people; the Africans are the (Sun People) and the Europeans are the (Ice people).

Carol Barnes- An African American author who wrote the books Jazzy Melanin & The Chemical Key to Black Greatness.

From his book The Chemical Key to Black Greatness, Barnes stated:

  • “Melanin is responsible for the existence of civilization, philosophy, religion, truth, justice, and righteousness. Individuals (whites) containing low levels of Melanin will behave in a barbaric manner. Melanin gives humans the ability to FEEL because it is the absorber of all frequencies of energy. Since whites have the least amount of Melanin, this is why they are perceived by People of Color as generally being rigid, unfeeling (heartless), cold, calculating, mental, and "unspiritual.”

Barnes accuses white scientists deliberately created drugs, such as cocaine, structured to bond chemically with melanin. “Barnes claims that melanin and cocaine have a high affinity for each other because both are alkaloids, and that Black people get addicted faster, stay addicted longer, can test positive for cocaine even a year after its most recent use, and suffer more from these drugs because cocaine co-polymerizes into melanin.” -Wikipedia Source

Furthermore, he reveals that the chemical melanin appears to act as a superconductor which explains Black people’s ability to absorb all frequencies of energy without any resistance.

Frances Cress Welsing- An Afro-centrist psychiatrist who wrote the book “The Isis Papers: The Keys to the Colors.”  Much of her research is based in Melanin Theory. Welsing deciphers the System of Global White Supremacy and stated that White Supremacy exists as a means for white genetic survival. As a Psychiatrist she analyzes the behavior of White Supremacy claiming that melanin is essential to the need for White Superiority. Her example of Martin Luther King Jr. was a man of love who wanted peace and integration. Then why did they shoot him one would ask? He was shot because if global love took place indiscriminately amongst all races, consequently, Welsing stated that the soon overtime the white population would disappear due to the dominant trait of melanin.

Welsing appeared in the documentary series Hidden Colors where the system of Global White Supremacy is exposed and she discloses information behind the psychology of the White Supremacists and African Americans.
