House Nigger vs. Field Nigger (The Divide)

Lighter individuals were given less of a work load, worked closer to the house, the Master and family.

Darker individuals were place in the fields, endured tremendous amount of manual labor.
Light-Skin vs. Dark-Skin (The War)

Dark skinned men= dangerous, criminals, threats, thugs

Light skinned men= less threatening, pretty boys,feminine
-
Dark skinned women= more manly features, rough, “ugly”, mean
-
Light skinned women= pretty, sociable, successful
